About Pam

I received both a Master’s of Social Welfare and Master’s of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. As a therapist in private practice in Brooklyn, New York, I work predominantly with young and midlife adults, individuals who are engaged in the process of examining their life stories and how the roles they play often interfere with their happiness and fulfillment. I am interested in storytelling and history and why people emotionally invest themselves in inauthentic ways. In The Wires lends itself to a very specific professional goal I‘ve held for years: to write non-academically about the compelling stories, dramas, and themes that are revealed and examined in my office, and to offer real, authentic reflection on issues and their wider cultural implications.
